Welcome to the RMMHA!
We are happy to welcome new players of all ages to the RMMHA.  Please read the information below to understand the registration process for your particular situation.

Respect in Sport (RIS)
As part of the Hockey Canada Guidelines, all IP, Novice and Atom level players must be linked with an RIS-Parent certificate.
Only one parent per player needs to get the certification; however ALL players at these levels MUST have an RIS-Parent certification linked with their profile.
Click HERE for more information about RIS-Parent certification.

U7 Players: Ages 4, 5 and 6

If your player was born in 2016, 2017 or 2018, he/she is eligible to register in the Initiation Program.  For the past few years we have had four teams at this level with about 15 players per roster.  We try to balance the teams so that coaches can better develop the players' skills over the season. Typically, IP teams have a practice one evening during the week and once on the weekend. As mandated by Hockey Canada, the practices and games (i.e. exhibition) take place using half of the ice.

To ensure that Hockey Canada has an official record of your player's name and date of birth, please scan (or take a picture) of your child's birth certificate, baptismal certificate or passport information and email it to the registrar at registrar.rmmha@gmail.com as the last part of the online registration process. You will also be asked to provide proof of residence.

U9 Players:  Ages 7 and 8

Players are welcome to join the association without having participated in the IP program.  For the past few years, we have had four or five Novice teams (i.e. A, 2 or 3 B, and C).  All players attend sort out sessions at the start of the season to determine the appropriate level.  Typically, Novice teams have 14-16 players per team.  On average, practices are held twice a week, and Novice players can expect to participate in 20 games over the season.

To ensure that Hockey Canada has an official record of your player's name and date of birth, please scan (or take a picture) of your child's birth certificate, baptismal certifcate or passport information and email it to the registrar at registrar.rmmha@gmail.com as the last part of the online registration process. You will also be asked to provide proof of residence.

U11 Players and Older:  Ages 9 and up

Players of any age are welcome to join the RMMHA; however, with older players who have not played hockey at the IP or Novice level, it's a good idea to chat with the Registrar or Director of Hockey Operations before registering to get a sense of the Atom program and the skill levels.  Please feel free to contact the Registrar at registrar.rmmha@gmail.com.
