All RMMHA volunteers require a valid Criminal Record Check.
Please note: The CRC needs to be a Level 3 Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), a CRC is insufficient and will be rejected.
There is no cost with the volunteer letter.

Gender Identity and Expression Course
Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO), along with Hockey Northwestern Ontario (HNO) and the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF), have launched a training program for team officials to support trans-inclusive hockey in Ontario, understand discrimination based on gender identity and provide gender expression training.
There is a course which will educate team officials on this important topic: Gender Identity and Expression Course. All team staff must take this course.
Team staff will register for the course in the HCR Spordle portal and require an HCR Spordle account. If you do not have an HCR Spordle account you can create one after clicking the Register for the Training link. Once you have registered for the training you will receive an email from HCR Spordle. Within that email you will find the address to the online training in the "Post Task/Field Evaluation" section.

BENCH STAFF CERTIFICATIONS
Please review the information below to check the certifications required for bench staff positions:
Please Note:
1. The Hockey University Online Coach (HU-Online) 1/2 course must be completed before the coach can register for the Coach 1 or Coach 2 in class course.
2. All on-ice Coaches/Assistant Coaches/Instructors in the U7 (formerly Initiation) Program must take the Coach 1 course. There are no exceptions to this rule and no other levels of qualification are acceptable at the U7 Program level.
3. Assistant Coaches at House League require Respect in Sport (RIS)-Activity Leader only. However, they could require the appropriate qualification for participation with teams from outside their House League or League (i.e. exhibition and/or tournament play). In addition, if the Head Coach were not available to start a House League game, an appropriately qualified NCCP Coach would be required to act as the Head Coach.
4. House league coaches at the U13 (formerly Peewee) level or higher and have previously qualified with Development 1 or High Performance 1 do not need to take the Coach 2 course.

**All Clinic Applications must be approved by the RMMHA Risk & Safety Director prior to taking any of the following courses or risk not being reimbursed:
- HU-Online: Online Coach 1/2
- Coach 1: Introduction to Coaching
- Coach 2: Coach Level
- Trainer: New and Refresher Courses
All of these clinics and sessions have a cost. Pre-approval from the Director Risk & Safety is the only way to insure reimbursement.
To be reimbursed, submit scans of pictures of the official receipt and the course completion certificate to riskandsafety.rmmha@gmail.com
Cheques will be issued once a month if received before the 1st of that month.
No reimbursements will be provided if the receipt is submitted after Dec 31 of the hockey year.
Cheques are mailed by the treasurer when ready. They are done in batches so there may be a slight delay.
