RMMHA - Ice Scheduler Position NEEDED

2017-09-23

The Richmond Munster Minor Hockey Association is seeking applicants for their official ice scheduler for the House League Program. APPLICATIONS ARE DUE SEPTEMBER 27, 2017 . RMMHA will review applications, and if required, will interview applicants.

In total, the RMMHA scheduler will be responsible for scheduling approximately 600 hours of ice rental. This contract will be for one RMMHA season, running from October 1, 2017 until May 31, 2017

The scheduler will be responsible for:
  • Working with RMMHA executive to schedule House League program hours
  • Schedule activities per the RMMHA Hockey Operations committee directives.
  • Prepare schedule data in the appropriate format to load into the “Goaline” website calendar and suitable for “posting” on the RMMHA website.
  • Attend monthly RMMHA meetings (when requested, or via a report to the President to be presented on your behalf), providing status of season, and identify any risks or issues related to RMMHA schedule.
  • At the season conclusion, identify and make recommendations on proposed Ice Allocation changes for the next season.
  • Due to the often variable nature of ice scheduling, the incumbent must be available on short notice to implement any schedule changes as they arise

This is a PAID opportunity. We are seeking candidates to submit a proposal based on one of two price models:  a price per scheduled hour cost (including a nominal fee to reschedule events where required) or a fixed cost per season. Number of hours will fluctuate depending on number of teams playing per level for the season. The decision on the winning candidate will be based upon application form feedback and their proposed costs to schedule games. Please remember we are a non profit organization.

As a paid position, the game scheduler will be responsible for their own time and materials required to undertake this contract. This is NOT a voting member position on the RMMHA Executive.

Payments will be made on a 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 basis on October 31 2017, December 15 2017, and May 15, 2018.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities:

1.     Attentive organizational skills are essential for assuring a successful season.
2.     A personal computer with Internet access is required.  RMMHA will “host” the schedule through its Goaline website
3.     Schedulers need not have played hockey, been an on-ice official nor a team official, but they should possess a thorough knowledge of a typical association operation

6.     Ideally, candidates will provide a dedicated contact email address or phone number, which will be available to the RMMHA Executive in the event that a reschedule is required.
