We are thrilled to announce the launch of the RMMHA Educational Bursary Award Program, designed to support the academic pursuits of our young athletes within our association.  The program aims to recognize and reward our players who demonstrate exceptional dedication, passion, and commitment to both their hockey endeavours and their academic studies.
Key Details of the Educational Bursary Award Program:

Eligibility: To be eligible for this award, the candidate must:
  • Be a current member of the RMMHA in good standing as defined by the constitution of the RMMHA*
  • Have been a member of the RMMHA in ‘good standing’ for a minimum of 5 years
  • Be attending a post-secondary institution or apprenticeship program in the upcoming year
  • Have maintained a high standard of academic excellence (minimum 65% average)
  • Be active as a mentor to others both in school and on the ice
 
Selection Criteria: Selection will be based on a combination of academic performance, extracurricular involvement, community engagement, and dedication to hockey.

Award Amount: This year there will be 3 awards of $500 each. One will be awarded to a student from South Carleton High School, one will be awarded to a student from Sacred Heart and one will be awarded to a student from another high school in our area.

Application Process: Players interested in applying for the bursary must complete and submit the application form by April 26, 2024. Details on how to apply can be found here.
