Message about Ice

Hello Members,

 

As you are now aware, we recently lost the use of the Beckwith Arena for an unknown length of time.  As we came out of the provincial lockdown in early February, as a result of hard work by our ice scheduler, we were able to replace ice "lost" during January with the purchase of additional ice.  We will now work towards replacing the ice that we can no longer access in Beckwith.  As we have mentioned in previous emails, we believe that keeping our members on the ice as much as possible is positive for our players' physical and mental health.  

 

By the end of the season, slated for the end of the first week of April, assuming we are not faced with another move to the "red zone," players will have been on the ice very close to the same amount as if we would have begun in early/mid January as originally scheduled.

 

As always, I want to thank the membership for their support as we work our way through this very different and unpredictable hockey season.
