Update on the Next Session

2021-02-15

Hello,

Following the recent announcement regarding the lifting of the provincial lockdown, the City of Ottawa will be reopening in the Orange/Restrict zone effective Tuesday, February 16th.  As promised, the RMMHA is ready to return to the ice on Tuesday, February 16.  Given concerns regarding new, highly transmissible variants of the virus, it is more important than ever that we follow the guidelines laid out by the City of Ottawa and Ottawa Public Health.

A quick reminder that:
  • All groups must have a safety officer.
  • Everyone entering the arena must complete the self-screening prior to entry.
  • Individuals who have symptoms must not participate in/attend a scheduled practice/activity.
  • A Maximum of twenty-five on ice participants – plus five off ice coaches, instructors and/or trainers.
  • One parent/guardian allowed per participant under the age of 18. No spectators.
  • Changerooms are open for use, but to their established capacity. Chairs will be placed outside the changerooms or in the lobbies for the overflow. Showers remain closed.
  • Groups can arrive twenty minutes prior to their ice time.
  • Participants are still encouraged to arrive fully dressed.
  • Scrimmages and modified games are allowed.
We are very pleased to be returning to the ice and we trust that we can count on your support following the outlined rules, to ensure that we remain on the ice through to the end of the season.
