Re: High Performance Task Team Update- Important
 
As part of the restructuring of HEO’s governance structure in 2020, the incoming board was tasked with the establishment of a “Task Team” to review the High-Performance programs within HEO. As part of that mandate, the HEO High Performance Task Team would like to release an update on the review of high-performance AAA hockey within Branch.
 
It has come to our attention that there are rumors of a change to U18 AAA, specifically U16 being removed from the cohort.
We would like to clarify that there is no intention to change the composition of the U18 AAA cohort, nor has this been discussed by the Task Team or the HEO Board.
 
While we are reviewing many items within High Performance and specifically AAA hockey, we recognize that U18AAA has undergone extensive study and review over the past 6 years thus, while we may review some items within U18AAA, we are not considering any substantive changes to U18AAA at this time.
 
Any indication otherwise is unfounded in any truth.
