Reminder - RMMHA Registration for the second half of the 2020-2021

2020-12-17

The RMMHA is pleased to inform you that registration for the second half of the 2020-2021 season is now open.  Please follow this link to register.  The registration system will be down on December 11 from 8:00 pm until 2:00 am for routine maintenance. You will not be able to register at that time.

This email will provide you with further details regarding the second half.

From December 11 until December 23 players who were registered for the fall session and wish to continue for January until March should register. Returning players are guaranteed a spot. Given the Covid 19 restrictions in place we will be continuing to limit the number of players at each level.  If spots remain following the registration of existing players, registration will re-open December 29 on a first come first serve basis for new players wishing to register. All efforts will be made to keep the “bubbles” as they currently are. However, due to player additions and deletions, we may have to alter some of the first-half "bubbles."

Hockey programming for the second half will be similar to the first half of the season.  We hope to be able to offer scrimmages as we did during the fall session including the possibility of scrimmages against other "bubbles" but given the uncertainty with regard to Covid we cannot guarantee anything beyond skill development.  What we can offer will be impacted by health units and government regulations.

Programming will begin during the first week of January and conclude at the end of March.  Age groups U9 through U18 will average two hours per week while U7 will average one hour per week.

Should the Province and/or Ottawa Public Health (OPH) place us into restrictive mode such as the modified stage 2 that we experienced in October, U9 through U18 will drop to one ice time per week (there will be no credit for the reduction in ice time).  An attempt will be made to keep U7 players on the ice as close to once a week as possible.  RMMHA will do everything it can to keep players on the ice in whatever format public health rules allow.

Those members currently registered with Cyclones, Silver Seven, or Romans do not need to re-register with RMMHA for the second half.

Returning players have paid "fixed costs" during the first half of the season and therefore the fees for the second half are as follows:

U7 - $110
U9-U18 - $220

New registrants will have to pay those fixed costs and as a result the new registrant fees will be:

U7 - $270
U9 - U18 - $415

The refund policy for the second half will be 50% refund prior to January 1, 25% refund prior to January 31, and no refunds as of February 1.

For the second half, we will be encouraging members to pay with electronic fund transfers. During the registration process you can now select “Online Banking” as the method of payment. Then send an e-transfer to: treasurerrmmha@gmail.com. Please make the password “hockey”

We look forward to seeing everyone back on the ice in 2021.
