Welcome to the 2018/19 Initiation Program (IP) season

Welcome to the 2018/19 Initiation Program (IP) season.
 
Sort Out Date: tentatively looking at Sept 29-30 weekend (1-hour session for all players). Date will be firmed up and communicated to members no later then mid Sept.
 
Sort Out Process: all players will be evaluated, thru a set of basic drills, to allow for proper placement at their respective IP level, regardless of age.
 
Weekly Practices:

• Thurs or Friday @ 5:00pm (1-hour sessions) - Richmond Arena (alternating days each week)
• Saturday @ 7:00am to 8:30am (40-min sessions) – Richmond Arena (alternating 40-min sessions each week)

 
Program Changes: we are excited to announce some changes to our program, which we anticipate will enhance the experience on and off the ice for each player.
 

• This season we will operate as two larger teams.
• Each practice will be planned and managed by a lead instructor.
• Assistant instructors will help execute the various planned stations.
• Each team will have a manager - this person will look after the off-ice details of the team. These details may include arranging Fun Days, Exhibition games and Tournaments.
• Kevin O’Brien/Dave Simmonds will over see the IP program.
• IP Development Coordinator this year will be Steve Gibson.
• Off-ice IP coordinator will be Andy Castellarin.
