Hello RMMHA Community,
With the arrival of August, we wanted to reach out and share some upcoming
reminders and
changes for our upcoming
2018-2019 Hockey Season:
Registration Reminder
- Please consider registering your player(s) soon. The Early Bird lower rate deadline is August 15th. Early registration benefits you with a lower fee and helps us to project numbers and teams for the upcoming season.
Sort-Out Schedule
- Over the past few years, our members have requested an earlier start to sort-outs. We are pleased to announce that the sort-out process will begin earlier this year. Formal sort-outs will begin Saturday afternoon, September 15, 2018.
Our objectives are to:
- Have our teams established earlier, allowing for additional practice times before the regular season begins; and
- Allow our managers that extra time to register for upcoming tournaments.
- Stay tuned for more details in the next couple of weeks.
Conditioning Sessions
- Conditioning sessions will start Labour Day Weekend. As a result of the adjustments to the sort out schedule, there will be fewer conditioning sessions provided this year.
- Stay tuned in the next couple of weeks for the conditioning dates along with the sign up information.
Initiation Program (IP)
- There are slight changes to the IP schedule for this upcoming season. Each IP team will now rotate ice times on Thursday and Fridays - 5:00pm at the Richmond Arena. They will maintain their regular Saturday morning time slot. This adjustment will provide an extra ten minutes of practice time per week for each team.
