Atom B Team brings home the "out of town" hardware.
The three day Petawawa Tournament started with the Royals going undefeated in the regulation round robin beating Petawawa, Beachburg and West End Wolverines.
In the semi-finals the Royals faced another strong West End Wolverines team. Down 1 - 0 with the less than a minute to play, with the goalie pulled, the boys tied the game with 19 seconds remaining. In "3 on 3" overtime, the boys were able to score the winner with approx. one minute remaining and not a lot of gas left in the tank!
Right when the team/parents thought the excitement could get any better, we charged ahead to the finals. In the finals, trailing 2 - 0 going into the second period the boys battled back to beat a strong Fort Coulonge team 4 - 3.
Once again the boys have proven that their "never give up" attitudes pays off and it truly takes all 16 players to win! There was a lot of extremely happy boys and parents heading back down Hwy 17 Sunday evening!
